Here's how to upload a PDF (or other file) to your Joomla site and create a link to it. The editor used here is WYSIWYG Pro 3. Other editors will differ somewhat.

• Enter the text (or image) into your article that you want to serve as a link to your file (i.e. "My Link")
• Select the link button from the toolbar
  
  
  
  
• Click "Shared Documents" from the options on the left (1),  click "Upload" (2), and click "Browse" from the pop-up window.
  
  
  
  
• After you have located the file on your computer, click "Upload".
• Select the file you have just uploaded from the list and click "Insert"
  
  
  
  
  
• That's it! Clicking on the link will now open the file or prompt the viewer to download it.
